My 4 Runner has been neglected for the past few months on a Jeep.  :lipsrsealed: Here are a few pics of the Friends of Johnson Valley KOH/Sportsman Buggy. We just finished up installing a rebulit 360 and a trans from Culhaynes along with some other goodies. Thanks to Scott at Rock Buggy Supply for all of his help pointing us in the right direction with parts and things to consider for the desert. 8) We are shooting for some seat time in either the MORE or BITD race in December to get ready for KOH in February.:)

Probably Sportsman.  :dunno:  We would like to race in Jeepspeed, but we don't have enough sheetmetal. The only thing from the original Kaiser Jeep is the vin tag and a few feet of the frame.

Thanks Peps. My good friend and sponsor Patrick Gray at Tom Bell Collision Repair in Redlands really did a great job on the paint. I am working on the "FOJV" graphics for it now. 8)

The owner at Fourtreks and I had a great conversation last year when I ordered the mount for the highlift.. I sent him that picture from the Thanksgiving trip to the Hammers and it was on the main page of the website for a while. I was looking at the Radflo jack at the Expo a few weeks ago and wondered if Fourtreks could make a mount for it for the buggy. :bling:

Nice looking buggy man.  It really looks cleanly built not forgetting to mention the SICK paint job.

Do you have any action shots yet?

Thanks. :) Not many action shots yet. We drove it around the ranch and around the neighborhood of the shop, but thats it. We have a day trip to the Hammers planned for this weekend for testing.
Here it is with the skins off and the only "action" shot at the ranch. :gap:

Thanks Peps!
Its registered as a CA Historic Vehicle (65 FC Jeep truck), so the KCs bring the old school look. Also with the historic designation, I can run it on the street without a windshield. 8)

Sweet  . I just about finished building my Son's RC Crawler and it's pretty much a replica of the Macho Taco and I put some little KC stickers on the grill to resemble some lights and i really dug it . I think I'm gonna look for a set for my truck . I have some really cool ones for the front but i think I'm gonna go for the old school

DMV will require you to certify that the vehicle was built after 1922 and is at least 25 years old. The plates are for vehicles to be used in historic events, parades or other exhibitions. To drive it without a windshield on the street, the vehicle must have been in production somewhere in the world or in another state offered without a windshield.

The buggy is titled as a 1965 Kaiser FC truck. It was offered as a farm vehicle here in the USA and in other countries around the world sans the bug catcher. :gap: If I drive it on the street, it must be because I am going to a historic event. King of the Hammers is really just a big parade in Johnson Valley, right. ;)

A few of the new FOJV decals in place, new 3" Fox Shocks up front and 2.5" Fox coilovers in the rear. If you look close you can see the new rear mounted radiator. 8)
