Thanks for the compliments!  I am still torn between a Detroit locker and a Detroit TrueTrac for the rear, I cant decide.  For the front, I found a brand new limited slip from Yukon Gear for about $350 from a guy that is local to me so I am trying to pick that up.

Got my diff rings in from blue torch on Thursday, and I got the rear one welded up yesterday....

Decided to make diff armor for the front and rear instead.  I am still not completely done with them but here they are for now....

No other updates, but I just thought I would post up pics from the Petersons magazine I was in.  It is the April edition.
Direct from the magazine:

And the pic from their website:

Got my trans temp gauge in today and I may have it in by the weekend.  I installed an auxiliary fan that I got from a buddy.  I have overheating problems so I figured this would help push a little extra air when needed.  I have it on a toggle switch so if I see the coolant temp rising I can just flip it on.  Simple install, nothing complicated...

The fan is a 10" Summit Racing brand.

Nothing new really.  I got the trans temp gauge mounted on the pillar, and put down some sound deadener on the floor.  I also got a steering cooler installed.  It is a stock cooler from a 2005 F-250.  Also took it on some mild rocks and what not this past weekend......

Toyota needs to make a Factory 8-Lug, that'd be sick.

your Tundra is my most favorite for sure.

Got my brand new Howe ram today for $75  :D

Got the fittings for the box today also, just need to tap them a bit deeper and install the new seal kit, whenever that gets here

I will probably order the lines and fittings tomorrow along with mounting up the ram and getting the stroke length adjusted.

Got the ram mocked up today, and got the axle brackets welded in place.  I also finished tapping the box.  So now just waiting on that seal kit.  Hopefully, I will be ordering the lines tomorrow.

Also, got the aluminum spacer cut down to 5/8" to shorten my stroke on the ram.  I forgot to take a pic after i slid the spacer on.

Here is what it will look like....

apimpdad

Got the box back together and the mounts all done for the ram.  Just waiting on the hoses now.

Yea its definitely a good upgrade.  It really kicks ass off road, not to mention it drives in a straight line down the road at speeds.  I really like it.

Just came across this build cause i got an offer to trade an 02 tundra for my street bike...
Very nice though man, makes me wanna trade and sas it!

well unfortunately I blew the motor and tranny in it a couple of weeks ago.  I sucked water into the motor when I slid into a washout while crossing a small creek/pond.  will post pics of the damage later

I already put another 4.7 in it but it is still having some problems.  I did the swap myself but I had to take it to a mechanic to get all the bugs worked out since I am at school full time again, I just dont have the time to work on it.

BUDDERS

Sorry to hear that.  Make sure the mechanic re-flashes the ecu.  You are supposed to do this whenever you replace one of the newer toyota transmissions or engines or it will act all funny.  If you sucked water in the intake you might need a new maf sensor too - not to mention anything else related to the vaccum system like the EGR or Evap systems.

Well I got everything corrected and it runs great now!  The vacuum leak ended up being a $60 pair of lower intake manifold gaskets that I didnt bother to replace when I had to take the manifold off to swap wire harnesses to the starter.  All the codes were gone and it runs smoother than ever.  I do have 2 codes going off right now but they are just the o2 sensors that I am going to just replace with my old ones for now.  I flushed the tranny twice and it is shifting good and firm.  Here are some pics of the carnage and the rebuild...

BUDDERS

Wow, that's a lot of water in the cab!  What did you do about cleaning the seats?  You better pray that your electrical connectors don't corrode on you.  I think I'd use a lot of dielectric grease on those connectors to help deture the corrosion.
