I was just wondering what a Tundra would looked like sas'd today. well got my answer.. nice build man.

Got these from ruffstuffspecialties for my new rear shackle mounts.  Decided against the chevy 63" rear springs because they wouldn't give me enough lift that is needed.  So no I am just going to take a few leafs out of my springs now and flip the shackle from tension to compression.  I still have to make my shackles and the mounts for the frame for these mounts to weld to.

Well I decided (for now at least) to just re-do what I had to begin with in the rear.  I flipped the shackle in the rear with ruffstuff shackle mounts and home made 4" shackles.  I ended up taking 2 leafs out of the springs.  It is a lot smoother now and has a few more inches of uptravel.  The only things that I need to address now are longer shackles (5" or 6") and move the pinion angle down, either with shims or just wait and get new spring perches and ubolts so i can flip the u bolts all in one shot.

When I took out the old springs, the centering pin on the passenger side had sheared off and was bent....

shackle mounts I made for the frame...

I just have the stock t-case behind an inchworm 2.28 reduction box.

apimpdad

well something let loose yesterday in one of the t-cases.  I am trying to get a tranny jack so i can pull it out tonight and see what broke.

apimpdad

Just as I thought, the input on the stock t-case stripped out.  But, it also took out the output on the crawl box and some bearings, but overall not as bad as it could have been.

Got the rear main seal and the front seal on the transmission replaced. i also installed my T-100 brake booster and master cylinder and tossed out the old stock tundra junk.  Here are a couple of pics.  I got everything bolted up and I bench bled the master cylinder and bled all the brakes.

Got the old output shaft and bearings all out tonight.  I cleaned up the old shaft and noticed a hairline crack in it.  I am hopefully getting the stock t-case by thursday and the parts from inchworm will be here that day too.  So I will be busting *** to get it back together by friday night.

Probably wont be able to see it, but its where the head of the screwdriver is...

The parts from inchworm were at my door when I got out of school at 2, so I immediately started working on it.  I had everything back together, installed, filled up and what not in about 4 hours.  Took it for a test spin and everything was good.  The new brakes are amazing, the pedal is once again firm and it does not go to the floor!  That was well worth the money that I spent on it.  All I have to do now is throw in the front drive shaft, weld the exhaust back on, and check all fluids.

Here are some pics, notice how stripped out the old output shaft is....

All back together....

Decided to finish up my axle truss I was building for the rear 4 link.  I put it to the side because I decided against using it, but after not being able to sell it I decided to finish it and put it on the truck for extra strength.  I will probably build a traction bar off of it sometime down the road.

Almost done boxing it in with some 1/4" plate....
