yotajosh I see that in this picture you do not have a drop front spring hanger this could have been a issue corrected I have spoken with some highly trained technicians who have seen the pictures and have advised me to go fwd with the mounting and to not look back.  :beerchug:

:clap2: last night I put on my working cap (aka my beanie welding and cutting cap) and I went to work and I accomplished all the task I had planed to do. and that was to

1st. unbolt the new front bumper and paint it to keep it from rusting.

2nd. drill holes out for the ifs power steering box

3rd.  re-mount the front bumper

I did all of these  and ill be the first to say that they look :kickbutt: bad :moon: I will get some pictures asap My crappy phone is a  POS but I can use my wife's phone and bluetooth them to me like I did last time

You'll need to cut the bumper mount that's on top of the frame. It's the little "bump" that the steering box is touching right at the front of it. I really didn't want to cut that out, as I like my stock bumper and the way it looks.

Edit: using a box mount kit that Marlin sells will help you position the box at a good angle.

This is how i did mine, and I still wish the pitman was closer to the frame, but I didn't want to hack up the body (even though I had to massage it with a BFH to get it to fit).

Update: I have gotten a new power steering hose from powercraft the part number for the 1880 truck is 71169

and then on the other note I have torn into my IFS BOX :smack: and i haven't found out what is a good way  to get it back together yet.

but on a real good note I got my front bumper put on and the totals from the polls are in the Black as normal won.  :clap2: :clap2: here is a Pict of the front bumper

well what do you think ???

I also found out today that I will be needing to get my front bumper lights from a 3rd gen Toyota Jon82toy and i were pondering this question and he asked his boss and thus we found out.   thanks Jon's boss

:attention: Houston we have a problem I repeat we HAVE A PROBLEM  as you can see in this thred on page two the shackle angle is good however now that the truck has been driven down the street some then shackle angle has become slightly worse off it is now hitting the body mount support bracket (the spring has lost its arch)  now what will we do :dunno: I am trying to find ways to fix this but its not looking good

I know I have not giving any good pict on here so I thought I'd swipe the wifes digital camera and here is what i took this morning before I came into work

as you can see in the above picture the shackle angle was a little to far back for my likeing as for when the shackle came in contact with the body mount so i trimed some of the mount off and I gave it a lot more clearance so it wont bind I jacked it all the way up untill the shackle hit the frame I dont EVER plane to get it that flexed out but it is there just incase I need it.

as you can see in this shot the shackle clears the body mount and has plenty of FLEX :eyebrow:

this is a side shot of the front bumper incase you missed it earlier it is the kickin :moon: bumper that marlin makes

here is a shot of the rear front shackle mount that has been welded in place you MUST bring this mount FORWARD (towards the cab) from the original location.

here is the rear shackle mount you MUST move this one BACKWARDS (away from the cab)

tube doors  ITS AN OPTION YOU COULD HAVE

rock sliders

these are the little tabs that help suport the joints of the welds at the edges *** if this is wrong please correct me***

this is the back end for now I am wanting to buy me a marlin rear bumper and i hope I can SOON. I called my sales rep at marlin and he gave me a price on shipping to my door and just to let you know  :attention: I AM STILL WORKING ON SHIFTING MONEY AROUND

Looks like that back bumper is gonna have to go bye bye.....shackle will hit it when it flexes...

also..the slider gussets go on the bottom of the slider legs to the frame...

yea well that would ACTUALLY be the preferred way because forces are typically exerted upwards on the slider.  If your sliders are tight though it can be really difficult to get betwen the top of the leg and the cab

ok here are some update details I got my dual working flawlessly  I also got my budbuilt inplace and I am currently working on a adapter mount to work for the MC07-R10  and will be following up with that later on  I also get to drive it to work today :woohoo: first time its been away from home this far since I began the total swap. there is a loading ramp here at the office that I took the truck on to see just how good it flexed out and I got two good pict of it that are in below  they are on some small small stock street tires so i am sure that it will get more flex out of it when i put the bad boy 35 on it :eyebrow:
