where should timing be at?
« on: Jul 30, 2004, 03:24:07 PM »
i had my trucked worked on so it would pass emissions. my timing was at 14degrees, so they set it to 5degrees. it runs a lot better now but feels like it accelerates slower? should my timing be set up just a tad more?

a bit yeah but 14 is too much. i put mine at almost 10 for a while thinking i would see a gain (i have a big cam so thought it would go together well) but then i moved it down to about 7 and i noticed some improvement.

I would advance it a couple degrees , but not to much that it makes it hard to start
