Thanks guys! I got the pins from work, they were extras from a Lockheed Martin job... pretty slick 8). I do not have many pictures of the process, just a tape measure and a piece of paper. I got the mud flaps off Ebay for $10, they are 12x18.

Yeah those pins are cool. So are they not something to average Joe would be able to obtain?

I used the Napa industrial big rig mud flap kit and cut it down to size. it just uses cotter pins but i like that pin thingie you've got a lot better!

Those pins are a tricker version of the pins you can buy at race shops for holding random crap down.

I like the setup but you'll probably want to gusset teh down tube, I set some up like that once upon a time and they eventually ripped off the frame....
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

Make a step by step build on the Bumpers, Cages And Tube Benders section. I am sure there are lots of people that would love to see an excellent mud flap disconnect as good as yours is.

Great Job!!!

Nice rig.  I want to find a spare hard top to make a top similar to yours.  I also liked the rear disconnect mudflaps.  I need to build me a set also.
