can a ball girl do that? i mean, i thought if it was a foul, but it got caught its an out? is that how they called it as? or is it an illegal player on field or what?

well considering the circumstances the player in the outfield wasn't going to be able to catch it so she just took the liberty. Kinda like an "out of bounds" type of catch I would assume.. so it shouldn't count as an out because she isn't part of the team.
