anyone hear about all those local fires? there is a 6 alarm in oakland on internation, and a huge wildfire in the gilroy/watsonville area -- the gilroy/watsonville fire is reported to have been intentionally set, i saw @ least 1 home lost in jsut the 30 second clip they showed on the news, and 1 person is being treated for smoke inhalation

You guys don't know what hot is, here's a screen shot of the current temp here and it's 7:00. It was still over 100 yesterday at 10:00 in the evening.

It was 102* in Oakland when I left work at 6PM according to the sign board out front.

It was 105 here and I was roofing all day,
last year it was 117 and I was roofing,
NO soda and LOTS of water.
I see the heat get to alot of people,
Yeah its hot but never gets to me.

don't what it was outside but i garantee it was hotter them 110 in our shop.  welders going full blast for a few hours mid day, it was pretty hot.

Ice water   Ever drink part of a gatorade, stick it in the freezer for a while till it's about half frozen, then pull it out and shake it up till it's a gatorade slushy?  Goooooood

It's a balmy 114* right now and there won't be much difference at 10:00p tonight, maybe 108* by then. By early morning it'll drop to a icy 97*, I'm heading to the beach tomorrow.

It had to of been nearly 110 today and it rained for a few minutes which was odd for this area..

never the less it was a split second of satisfaction while I was outside all day working my arse off.
