I have a 2nd blown head gasket in 11 months on my Davez offroad engine. I have sent an email to Dave with no response. I am ditching the 22re all together. It is obvious that Dave does not stand behind his product.

I got the truck towed home yesterday and I'll be doing some welding on the cage, and those plates tomorrow, then dive back to the shop to finish the cage and pull this engine.

have him fix that pregnant dog and then sell it.

He made me pay for last years head gasket, this time I have asked for a refund from last year and that will be the end of my dealings with him. I sent him a messege on monday and I have not yet heard from him.

I am thoroughly studying the electrical manuals for the 3.4 and 22re. I want to remove any circuits that I would not use such as ABS, air bag. Can I just remove the wires associated plugs and pins from the main plugs and run the rest of the system without worries  :dunno:?

I would think that's fine, but I don't know much about wiring. I think that's what people do they send their harness out to be reworked (Chevy motors, blah blah blah...)

Progress is slow but there is progress none the less....
Thanks to another member I got some frame plate files and got them prepped today...

I am also working on fixing a crack in the upper inner fender

A sneak peak at the cage I am working on...

Question for those of you that know.....

I know I need a 23 spline t-case to mate to my v6 auto transmission. Can I mate my current 21 spline adapter and rear case to the 23 spline case?

The input and adapter all needs to be 23 spline, in order to be able to use the rear case, which is 23 spline.   Plus you will need the V6 adapter plate too.

Inaccurate killer :) I'm a jarhead and I see clearly and those pictures are blurry as flop :flipoff2:

Digital cameras make it easier to take pictures, and people still screw that up.   :rofl2:

Digital cameras like film cameras still require adequate lighting, which as Kdub knows does not exist in the shop.

Light does suck in that work space he's right. Cell phone pics suck too just look my thread

x250f23x

Cell phone pics can look really good. Yes, you need lots and lots of light! All my pics are taken using an iPhone 4s, a 500w flood light, and some ingenuity. Simple understanding of how a camera works/ how to work a camera helps a lot too. Wait till I pull out my other 500w flood light! Muhahaha

Now.. if I had bought that SLR instead of the Stumpjumper, you chicken lizards would have some real pics to look at.

Believe me, I know!

Steve was saying yesterday that between the 2 of us we are building 1 new rig, I'd have to agree with him. We both chose to do some major renovations.
