why would you even bother to put an exo on an otherwise fully stock truck?

most use 1.75 OD by .120 wall DOM.  you can get away with HREW but it will bend/dent more.

Is there a reason why the cowl bar comes up so high? It looks like its like a third of the way up the windshield

heres a couple pics of mine.  i put my cowl bar down nice and tight, i can still remove wipers and windshield, but i ended up installing hood pins by the cowl and removing the stock hinges. otherwise i wouldnt be able to open the hood.  now i just pop the pins out and lift the hood off!

as far as tips, i built mine kind of like WHITERHINO did.   i bent all my pieces and tacked them in place as close to the cab as i could get it (i got it as close as possible so it didnt look  :stopit:) then i lifted the whole cage up about a foot off the cab so i could get good welds all the way around each joint.
