Dunlop Mud Rover MT's
« on: Apr 28, 2008, 01:01:33 PM »
I have a set of 33inch MTRs on my Yota and a friend of mine wants to trade a set of 35inch Dunlop Mudrover MT's for them they both have about 95% tread on them my friend wants to go down in tire size because of gas prices and he does not want to regear. it this a fair trade? anyone had any good/bad expearence with these tires, the terrian up here is alot of mud, some small rock.

Thanks,
Jeff

I v'e head the sidewalls are a bit thin on the Rovers, and they are really cheap in price! I don't know anyone who uses them though.
By the time I get the money for an SAS I'll be 65 at this rate!

I ran Mud Rovers for 4 years including 2 Rubicon runs. I couldn't wear them out, and they never chunked. When I got rid of them to go to 37's they had 80% tread on them. There were times I watched them pinch between a rock and the rim, and I thought for sure they were gonna go. I thought they were amazing but they don't make them in a 37.
Any man, in the right situation, is capable of murder. But not any man is capable of being a good camper.....So, murder and camping are not as similar as you might think.

Some men are alive simply because it is against the law to kill them.

I ran 35" mud rovers on my 82 pickup for a couple of years. They did well for wear an durability, but I wasnt real impressed when it come to using them in the mud or snow. They do fare in the rocks! Theyre a good MT to put on the street!
