:dunno: it doesnt have any markings on it, ill look into it
I need to take a pic of the high steer, the tie rod is behind the axle, the pass side steering arm is double sided and the drivers side is backwards, I have never seen this on a toyota axle has anyone else? Who makes it?

Yeah that is most definitely a 4x4 Labs rear bumper, and if you have the Labs steering then its for sure a Labs rear bumper. Thats sweet, Luke the owner of the shop is a friend of mine and he is a hell of cool guy. Top notch work on all his products. Im jealous cuz his rear bumpers are bank, I wanted one with the swing out tire carrier and jerry can/hi lift mount but it was more than my broke ass could afford. Definitely got yourself a nice 4runner there.

yeah tell me about it, the kit goes for $550 before ship and tax, it seems to work really well, and you dont have to relocate your steering box!

Hey 46&2, ask your buddy if anything extra is involed when installing that Kit or if its like all other HS Kits.

No only difference is it uses chevy tie rod ends and the design obviously. I would have gotten it but I was already ordering a ton of stuff from Marlin. Its a great high steer set up though, you never have to worry about tie rod clearance and the rear tie rod is above the third member, way out of harms way. He also makes six stud arms for it, as well as a weld on kit to convert toyota knuckles to six stud. Next truck I build is getting the 4x4 Labs steering for sure. I kick myself in the ass for not getting it before. Marlin's works great but I think the Labs steering set up is the way to go.

Yeah the design is definately the :pokinit:, and the weld on six shooter tab is cool too, I wish I would have known about that before I built my rig

$10??????????

Who do you think you are man?   :jk:

Yea i can do that.

I don't know what parts you have and what you are willing to give up.  But im about ready to order some inner axle seals for that housing and a longer steel brake line unless i can find a stock line to double up.  mine is almost at max length at ride height.  I also want to mix more leafs in those chevy packs i have.  Id like to take a better look at the setup on your 4runner.

Think i need to get anything else?  Well i will most likely need a 2+" block but anything else you think i should order from marlin?

Thomas P

i would take a 2" piece of square tubing and weld it to your frame above your shackle mount

Yea you were saying that and ive seen it done, but would that interfere with the dual shackle setup that is so popular?

Thomas P

you could run that 2" block about 16" and it would more than cover both shackles

do what the leaf swap?  id like to get it done ASAP.

Ill swing by after i get off work (4ish) and see if you need a hand with those cases

Thomas P

Cases are assembled, and stabbed, they seem to shift great and turns the shafts correctly, still need to fill, hook up d'lines, and shifters, then I will be done with the big project. Then im moving to the welding and replacing the radiator, then on to the new wheel cylinder and brake bleeding, so come on over mike there will be plenty to do. Right now im at a stop due to my wife having a doctors appointment and i gotta keep an eye on little T, but about 5 if should be rollin again  :crossed:
