Marlin 1200lb clutch for daily driver?
« on: Mar 08, 2008, 02:33:31 PM »
Thinking of getting a new clutch when the rebuilt engine is ready to in. The stock one has worked well but I want some more beef, since I plan on bigger tires under the truck. I drive this truck a lot, to work and school, sometimes 60-90 miles in a day.
Would the Marlin clutch be suitable for long hours of commuting, hauling heavy loads? I know it's quality product, but the product description mentions it being good for the trail. What about double duty, on and off road?
Thanks for any input....

That sounds sweet, what about the pedal pressure, easy on the legs?

It's all good.  Not at all like the ceramic, which is like an on/off switch.  I really like mine.

It is basically an OEM clutch with a bit more clamping power. They are a good all around clutch. I have been running a C.F. I in my V-6 for twelve years, it has a bit more clamping power then the stock clutch and it has never bother me and I have arthritis and gout in both my legs and feet.
