RIP KYOTA

It will take a week for the engine rebuild so I will have a chance to clean things up a little. I'm thinking flow matched injectors, new motor mounts, clean and paint the frame some, maybe paint the Throttle B and plenum.
Any other small things I should consider? I want to do this right the first time.
The machine shop is recommending a 260 grind cam, sound good, what do you guys think?
22RE .30 over, mild cam, K&N, LCE header, 2.25'' pipe, high flow cat, Magnaflow.
 Marlin 1200LB clutch

268 or if they don't want to do that because your running efi, check out lcengineering. they have a 440 lift cam that works with efi.

The shop said their cam has worked well with 22re's, but I do want to make sure that I get decent mileage, a good range of power, pass smog and a smooth idle.  Would be nice if that sweet spot did not fall off to quickly at slightly higher rpms

there is a local guy who has a shop in Chico, who builds tons of toyota motors, his name is Jim Putney. He knows EVERYTHING about yota motors and how to squeeze the most HP out of em, and I asked him to have a cam mande for wheeling that still passes smog, when its idling you can totally hear it, it sounds burly, and just yesterday it passed smog! I will call him and ask him what the specs are

It idles great and runs great but i seem to burn more gas, but i also went from 39.5's to 42's at the same time so, i cant really compare to what it used to do

i found this interesting about cams and mpg. the old cam i had passed smog and i got around 18 mpg. it had a 440/435 lift. the cam i have now is a 260 cam with only a 410/415 lift. it gets 18 mpg on a good day. if the 440 lce cam really dose increase torque at 2600rpm, i might be more into hitting the next gear a little lower on the rev range. who knows, it may even improve mpg.

So it might be possible to get 20 mpg running a 260 grind cam w/ EFI?
