:sheerterror:      :scared:    :yikes:

Pretty simple question... I always like to hear peoples stories on these and thought it would make for some good conversation!   I personally dont believe in ghosts tho.

I have always heard the stories about a canyon near my house & always thought yeah, right, what ever. About 12 years ago I had an experience in that canyon that freaked me out  :o

Sometimes I think its just peoples imaginations getting the best of them..   what happened to you tallchev?

theres some old indian schools here.. people go there at night and say its nasty haunted.. even to the point where you just take pictures of the windows and can see peoples faces... but when I asked to see a pic they were all magiacally lost.

The story is that a woman was on her way to  her wedding around Valentines day & was killed in a car accident in the canyon. She appears & asks for a ride to the bridge & disappears before you get to the toll both. ( the story varies that she disappears at the end of the canyon or the bridge).

I drove though the canyon one night (around Valentines day) between 1 & 2 am I saw a woman staggering in the lane of oncoming traffic. Looked like someone had beat her & left her for dead. Her clothes were ripped. That was kind of freaky but what add to this was she was near a curve & when I came around the curve there were 3 cars in a row that were going pretty fast in her direction that could not see her. I looked in the paper & watched the news for the next few days to see if there was anything about a hit & run or finding a beaten woman in the canyon. There was nothing. She could have been a prostitute but when you grow up hearing stories & actually see something, that changes things.

I'm borderline I guess  :dunno:

I'm not sure if I do or not.   My only experience with it is as follows.

My cousin goes to a local community college.  She was working in the chemistry lab on an experiment one evening.  It was only her, her lab partner and the Lab teacher in the room.  she was doing something with a bunsen burner and she wanted to photograph the experiment.  she took several pictures (about 20) with a digital camera.   in three of the pics there was an older man standing in the background walking by with a raggety ball cap on.  One of them shows his face pretty clearly.  Also in those same three pics it looks as though there is bright sunlight like light coming from one side of the room.  The pics were all taken in the evening, there are no windows in the lab and the only people in the room were the three women.   Plus in all of the other pics there is just a blank wall where the light was coming from in these three pics.  When she first saw the pics she was just disappointed that the three pics had the wierd light on the side of them because it made it hard to see that part of the experiment.  She didn't pay attention to the old man in the background that wasn't supposed to be there.  Here teacher wanted here to include those three pics anyway with the rest of the project.

The day after she turned it in for grading here teacher called her all excited asking her for the file of her digital pics.  She told my cousin that she immediately recognized the man in the background of the pics.  My cousin didn't even know what she was talking about until she looked at her pics again.   Upon looking at them again she could see him plain as day and then made the connection that there wasn't an old man in the lab that night.  The teacher had a copy of an old yearbook showing several of the chemisty teachers and employees and found this same man in one of the photos in the yearbook.   He was a custodian for the department.  It was definitely the same guy.   The picture in the yearbook was from 20 years ago.  The man had died in a fire in that chemistry lab a year after the Yearbook picture was taken.  I have no idea how he showed up in three pics that my sister took nearly 20 years after he died.  It still gives me an eerie feeling thinking about it.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE
AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE.

IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

I would love to believe that, but im a firm believer in coincidence kinda.... tho I do find it extremely wierd that I used to have nightmares every day religously about my dad (he took his life in june of 03) i had em all the time until I met my wife.. then no more! also her birthday is the day my dad passed away..

Any time somebody tries to tell me a ghost story I know they're lying.  You know how?  They're telling me a ghost story...

Just like the possibility of life on other planets...you never know what you don't know. You know? And like so many things...I don't know.

Don't get your knickers in a twist.

I don't know...I've seen some weird stuff. I just don't know. So, I can't say I disbelieve...I say I don't believe or I don't know.

I "feel" it is less likely than life on other planets, I "believe" when you're dead, you are returned to the earth...with out soul, like the other animals. I could be wrong.

Kinda like that whole god thing, eh?  :_oops:

I believe there are lots of things I don't know, and despite their best efforts I believe there are many more things others pretend to know, see and do that don't ever actually happen either.  I'm pretty simple, I believe it if I see it (born in missouri and spent the first few months of my life there :gap: ).

When I lived in N.C. my family and I were all sitting in the living room watching TV one night our door from the garage opened and then shut you could here footsteps walk across the living room then the door to our library opened and we heard footsteps go to the book shelf.  On numerous occasions our Doberman would go to the door to the library and growl but you could not put the dog in the library.  We heard noises from time to time in the library but it never bothered any of us.  We eventually started calling the noises Harold and any time we heard something we would say Hi Harold.  The noises stopped when my sister moved up from Fl. and we converted the library into her bedroom of course we did not tell her at first.  I don't know if it was a ghost or not but I think that maybe some peoples spirit sticks around after they pass.  :dunno:

Ive heard stories about dogs and actually had a bad experience myself..  My dad took his life and we had a little minpin he (the dog) would no longer go in my dads room, and if you tried to pick him up and walk him in there.... GROWL his hair would stand up and all!  that was defenitly wierd.

That's why it's called "faith" in God.

I hate to say it...but, you can't see air...but you have faith that it's there. A lot of the things I believe are based on logic...in that it makes more sense to me that we have a creator than we are the result of random chance.

I have faith that my truck will start when I want to go to work tomorrow.  That's a pretty solid faith, based on the fact that it starts every time I turn the key.  Now, if I went out in the morning and had believed that I had guardian angels readying the engine to start, that'd be blind faith
