ok so thats TWO toyota lovers now that have gotten heeps    and i just dont get why  they are junk just plain junk and then on top of that everyone one has one.  hell they even have there own magizine.  dont people understand its better to be diffrent and oringal. i mean if you look in the interior of a heep it looks like the guages are velcrowed into place, they come with there little trail rated bull a trail that a stock yota could do in 2wd and people actually fall for it and buy one and i dont get why?? they suck at wheeling and even if you do trick it out to be good something will break on you cuz its a heep. soo if there is anyone else that is so sick of heeps post something here and become a heep hater lol

hell my runner with the top off looks ten thousand times better than a heep blaaaaaaaa!!!!! then my friend with heeps act like they are so cool when they know they are junk it just makes me want to  them.  there is a kid at my school with a xj 6inchs off lift and he has to cut the fenders for 33s on 6 inches of lift   you think they would learn from that mine can fit 33s now and all i would have to do is take the inner fender off and do a little banging ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i hate them  one time i was wheeling with a heep and it blew one of its hoses because he overheadted it gasing it so much to make it up easy stuff and thats the same heep with the 6 inches of lift and then one time we were following it and the rear u bolt broke and the drive shaft banged in his floor board and so he took it off and just ran it in 4wheel and then a little later we saw his yoke laying on the road and i big puddle of oil from all the transfercase oil leaking out cuz the yoke sliped out and people think heeps are the

Just think of it this way, if Toyota & Japan was never rebuilt after WWII by all those G.I.'s driving Jeeps we wouldn't even have Toyota landcruisers, 4runners or Datsan Patrol's, so lighten up on the jeeps, they helped win a war for God's sake.

hey jeeps have some benefits and there falls. my buddy has a cherokee with a 3in lift and it just clear 31's. then it has a slip yoke. so with 3in lift his jeep already needs driveshaft mods, because the both times we took it wheeling it flexed to much and the driveshaft falls. the first time it fell it broke the slip yoke. then some of there ups are that they are a solid axle up to now with the liberty. they did win us a war, and there just an american past time. now dont get me wrong im not going to by a jeep because i still love to rag on them, but there not the worst vehicles in the world.

They both had their place, honestly the jeep was more fun to drive but didn't wheel as well but isn't it about fun? I wish I could have kept the jeep but I have too many toys and not enough room..

The jeep was a 53' - now that's cool..

brandon the jeep was a 53? we just helped finish our friends 48cj2a. did some body work, new floor and fresh paint. sure is fun to cruise around town in to. 4cylinder(about 50hp), 3 speed, no seat belts, doors, window, fun stuff. the flatties in my opinion when jeeps were awesome.

I HATE JEEPS!!!! as most of you know my 83 is my first yota, but like the song says you can set my truck on fire and roll it bown a hill and i still wouldnt trade it for cj7 (so thats not the exact words but you get the idea) my bro has a 98 cherokee and for what he dose its great. hes got a stero and he drives it to school, work and up to the mountains to go snow boarding. but thanks i will stick with ripping apart my yota.

i have seen some awsome and very capabal jeeps and i liked them but there werst downfall is that to make it capable and a reliable it takes soo much more money to do than with a toyota

who gives a about wining a war, war is just a pointless thing our nation leaders do to try and be cool fore say the more wars they start and win the more popular they become, there fore it is a senceless thing to do the only out come that can come out of it if you even consider it an outcome is lowering the population because of all the heartless killers that enrolled in the milltary. see they are super brainwashed into loving a country that will force them into war by drafting them.  if the country needs to be in war so badly they should take their little volenteers to go and fight for them not draft them to die a horbile death just for the hell of it. so to me heeps wining the war just makes me hate them more

the frame was 53'...

The M38A1 is not a flatty, it is a very short CJ style. That thing was a complete project..

Malotte glass body, YJ suspension, front and rear disk brake yota axles on 35's, 225 V6, SM420 to toyota tcase, etc etc etc - all custom..

I did take it through the rubicon and had a blast, several times and fordyce, dusy, PC, etc..

It was very capable but like all things built it required a lot of attention (no different than my truck)

I'm glad we won the war or we'd all be driving toyotas.  Every vehicle has it's own faults.  Jeep never had a decent fron end in any of the cj series-Toyota wasn't thinking when they used Birfeilds.  I much prefer my granny geared cast iron Jeep T-18 transmission over my crappy g-52.  It's nice to have comanies like MC, Sky and others that stay open minded and help develop products for all walks of life.

Well first is first. Yotaontherocks your opinion doesn't matter, I am so pissed off rigth now, actual I think I am discusted at the ignorance that your parents raised you up in. You don't have to agree with what is going on, but you sure as hell have to respect it. You would not have the oppertunity to express yourself about this if no one had fought for your freedom. In the first place. And if the only pregnant dog that you can come up with is not being able to drink tell your 21 and cusing out a police officer than your ignorance is overwhelming. Again you should have enough reaspect for the law and common sense to realize when you have done wrong. You know what your ignorance (actual it's your stupidity cause ignorance can be corrected) is not worth my breath of time.
