Zappel

be back .......

Hello Colt, it looks beautiful...... :ladys-man:

you have terrifically learned what within the last months and how you convert it.
The Flat is very good composition between new and old.....

the clock runs fast.....but i´m hopefully you be ready at the right time... :driving:

go on!!!

Colt

finished the roll bar

pressure-tight and holds about 27 liters!

perfect...

these are the damper between frame and roll bar

attend the synchronized welding

The only things missing are the wheel wells, brackets for light and number plate and the wood...

Colt

next was the steering. the body lift causes to lengthen the steering column.

but wait: i got a few parts for the steering

power steering and a stronger push rod

all in and the best, fits without changing the steering column!

we also tried to get the engine running but there wasn`t enough time for it.
But the alternator turns, the fuel pump works, also the ignition.
I think it is the valve celarance or perhaps the ignition sequence... :(
Isn`t it 1-3-4-2 on the 4banger?

the only thing i have is the target weight out of the cad. That should be under 200 kilogram for both roll bar and flatbed. Don`t think thats too bad ;)

And I don't want to be there if my rig crashes that hard  :shudder:

Colt

the next steps

bended 3mm sheet metal for the wheel wells

brrrrtzzzz

cutting out the next sheet metal strip

and on to the wheel well

the same on the other side

That was more than 6 meters to weld... :flamer:

these are brackets for the numberplate and the backup light.

But it was too late to weld that in ;)    Rome wasn't built in a day.  :cheese:

They are from ebay. I bought them from an caravan outfitter. Normally they have one side with a fog lamp. I bought to pair and used the ones with the reverse lights. They are only 15€ per pair but I fear the shipping to US would kill you... :sheerterror:
