I found this out the hard way last night. I'm sure most people already know this, but I rarely go to Costco and I usually have cash on hand, but last night I went there, must have spent 30+ mins looking around and filling up my cart, I get to the checker and I got rejected. I had to leave my cart there and walk away empty handed. I have plenty of money in the bank just not cash on hand.. They take debit cards, but I just got my debit card replaced (previous one expired) and it was not with me.

Man, I had all kinds of snacks and lunch food for work and now I have no lunch today

I don't know about Costco, but while Sam's doesn't take VISA except as debit cards they do take Mastercard or Discover. i don't get that. Usually MC and Visa go hand in hand
