At first sight I was going to slash and burn this thread, but I see it was Taco Stewie that brought it back from the dead.
But we will keep an eye on it.

and why would you do that??
I didn't read most of the thread, just caught the ones about getting away with drinking and driving and drinking your parents beer. I also wanted to keep an eye on regarding references to underage drinking, which as we know, is not condoned on the Marlin board.

:yesnod:  Unheard of breweries are usually the best, IMO.  That's how I found Speakeasy Ales & Lagers (www.goodbeer.com) and many others.

Just so we can stop jacking the lunch break thread.  What beer do you drink and why?
Myself I drink Coors Light so I dont get fat.  (A little late for that!)

I like drinking other peoples beer the best but as I buy all the time I am into the Molson Golden, Sierra Nevada rocks to but a bit pricey.

If im getting hammered I drink bud-light, but I am switching to Millerlite cause it has half the calories of Bud-Light.

If im not getting hammered I try anything. The darker the better.

I'm a Corona drinker but I'll drink pretty much anything. Not a big fan of the darks...

Currently I have a Sudwerks Marzen, Italian Peroni, Corona and some Kona Longboard in the fridge.

When its hard alc. I love Captain Morg... maybe some Kamikaze shots if i'm in the mood for Vodka.

If we're talking mixed drinks we go for Beam and Coke/Diet (for me).
I also really like the hard ciders. But REAL hard cider, not some flavored malt beverage.
Hornsby's Draft Cider is really good and we have one our local publix sell's called Kelly's Irish Cider that is really good.

So, Anybody been switching it up lately? I've found Pyramid Hefeweizen to be my new at-home fave!

kneedownnate

I tried a couple different types of pyramid beer but found it too bitter.  I've still yet to find a beer I like anywhere near as much as new castle.  Probably doesn't help that I rarely drink, but I do plan on trying arogent b*std some day soon.

I  Arrogant b*std!! Some find it a little chocolatey, and strong, but I feel it's a great drinker, not to smooth, yet not a whole lot of aftertaste.  oh, and it's 7.5%.

Good to hear!  Funny thing is there's a board member runnin their label as his avatar.  Honestly though, I don't drink to get to up so I'm not terribly concerned with the alchy level, but as little as I drink I should start feelin it with 1 bottle :yesnod:  Good thing too, it's not cheap either!

I recently came apon Stone House's spring seasonal called Russian Imperial Stout. It really takes Arrogant B*stard to a new level. I cant drink too many of them though because I get a hell of a buzz....its 11.8%  :yikes:. I saw a few other Stone House beers at a Whole Foods somewhere but didnt buy any. so far localy I only seem to see Arrogant B*stard and The Imperial Stout, but if you liked AB i know you'll dig the imperial stout!

OK, I finally got to BevMo, and I couldn't find the Russian Imperial Stout.  I did find this though.  It is VERY hoppy, but it's not really bitter and doesn't have too heavy of an aftertaste.  Kinda like a stronger, hoppier Sierra Nevada.

I also picked up another new one.  Well see if I make it to it tonight. :beerchug:
