My boss (branch manager) retired today

He has been an excellent boss for the last 4+ years since I graduated and joined the real working world. He always had my back if anything controversial happened.

This one time...um...at work, I upset a division manager to the point that he requested formal disipline for me. My division manager called me into his office for a talk "to quiet the mob" and had to keep my branch manager from ripping the other guy a new hole.
