Adjusting the seatbelt tensioner???
« on: Dec 29, 2007, 10:38:36 AM »
Hey does anybody attempted or has any knowledge on how to tighten up the seatbelt tensioner.  The seatbelt doesn't retract all the way on it's own, and if I'm in a hurry or not paying attention the belt hangs out the door.  Around here it rains frequently and the belt gets wet.  Is this something simple or will I have to buy a new setup?  Please any help here!

Have at least pulled trim off and checked for anything is binding it up? The tensioner is probably shot. Time to hit up the PNP.

I've done it.  you pull it all the way apart, and then pull out the strap, wind the spring all the way up, and slap it back together. see here: http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/minutemods/seatbelt

That's the info I needed.  I figured that all I needed to do is adjust the tensioner.  But wasn't sure how!  Duffil, you rock
