Topic: 1988 4 runner Seatbelt picture needed.

I have a 1988 4 runner that started with a body.I am replacing the rear seat bets,There were none when i got it.I bought a set of 4 runner sr5 rear belts.I need a picture on how the reels mount do they mount to the sides or under the seats?If anyone could snap a picture it would be great. this is going to be my daily driver I need help asap.thanks

do you need a picture from where the belts reel in? or do you need one from where it mounts at the top???

I need a picture under the rear seats.It had front belts.Just trying to get the rear ones sorted out.I have three female ends.One says center on it ,a belt with male end and two reels with male ends.Thanks Guys.

The rear seat belts in your 88 mount different than the 87. In the 88 the retractor mounts on the inside of the rear panel. The belt marked "center" mounts to the outer holes on the floor. The belt buckles that attach to the retrators mount to the 2 inner holes on the floor just like S/M's pic's.

Neither did I until I went to take them out of the 88 cause I got the 87 with no rear belts., I noticed the rear panels were different. Since I have kids & needed the belts in, I put the retractors on the outside so I didn't have to cut & modify the rear panels in my 87.

Mine is an 88 the title says 89 but it Has the removable top and looks just like an 88.But the interior panels look just like the ones in the picture SM posted?This is becoming a headache lol.I would love a picture Tallchevy350 if you could get one.My email is jbj95@hotmail.com Thanks Keith
