Man Chico, CA people have it rough when it comes to looking for second hand auto parts.

I had the displeasure of visiting Chico Self Serve today and while I went there a few years ago. I now know why I never went back. This yard makes Pick and Pull in Redding look like Macy's the air reeked heavily of piss and the I had to try and not trip over the numerous amounts of "slag" parts thrown on the ground. There was like no Toyotas and the ones that remained well Pick and Pull would have squished them months ago.

On the plus side I was treated to a free show unlike any I have seem before at a self service yard. Two tweakers or Chav's going to blows over a sold TV. It was like something out of Trainspotting, but it was my tele why to you hock it.

I give this yard two stars out of five. I did not find was I was looking for, but the show sure cracked me up and I will think of that poor chav without his tele tonight as I watch mine.

lol, you are pretty accurate as far as the piss smell, to get the good stuff there you gotta go a few times a week cuz yota parts evaporate

Nice.  At a half price day I had the good fortion of hearing 3 tweakers talk about how they make frequent runs to mexico for pot.  They weren't trying to hide it or be quiet either, probably with hopes that I'd be impressed and start calling them bra back :shake:  This conversation went on for atleast 10 minutes.  F'ing losers...

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!

These guys were probably as old as me, give or take.  They were full on skuzballs though, slimy greaseballs (not truck/car grease either :ack: ) and stringy, dirty oily hair.  You know, the kind of fellers you'd feel totally comfortable leaving to watch your home while on vacation.

Ha, this all reminds me of the lame-a$$ Auto wrecker in Eureka.  (errtweekaa)
Rusted yota shells that have been there for months with nothing left.
Mullets at the front desk that think their crap is top notch.
Not to mention charging to just to look at the poor selection.
Tweekers squabbling over some cheap buick hub caps.
What the hell, I'm gonna have to make a trip to pick n pull !!!!!

Well, if you're heading toward redding anytime pm me ahead of time with any parts you need.  If I dont' have it there's a good chance one of the other redding toy guys does

Man.  I gotta get to the one in Sun Valley just to write a review...

Actually it was pretty good last time I went, though the prices are stupidly high.
