Jessi still recovering
« on: Dec 13, 2007, 03:32:45 PM »
I heard from Jessi Combs today. I can't believe she's been in recovery for eleven months now. Filming for the new season of Xtreme 4x4 should begin in January and I can only guess as to how much she'll be able to do. I guess breaking your back takes a long time to recover from. I took eight months when I broke my neck, so I know how she feels.
I love with JESSI COMBS! I look forward to the day I can work with her, cause I'm THE NEXT BIG THING!

That's a bummer, didn't even know she was hurt, but I guess that's what happens when you only have 2 channels.

If you talk to her again, tell her I'll bone her if it'll make her feel better.

Oh, and I do hope she gets better, her not being on the show just makes me hate Ian, with her on there is a good balance.

On January 29, 2007, a non-shoot day, Jessi had a terrible accident at work just outside of the studio. A 550lb band-saw fell, landed on her back, taco’d her head to her knees, shattered her L3 and everything surrounding.

After being ambulanced to the Vanderbilt Hospital, a few x-rays, cat scans, and laying on her back without any movement for five days; the doctors performed a major spinal surgery to install new hardware consisting of 2 screws and 4 hooks, holding together 2 rods,  allowing for a fusion of the L1 - L4 vertebrae.
Jessi is now at home walking, healing, and becoming a tad bit impatient from going 90 to nothing. No worries though, Physical therapy ended in May, so she continues home therapy to the point where she has almost returned to a normal workout session. Shes definitely getting back to what the doctors say will be 100%. You will be able to see her back on the show starting July 15th working part time on limited light duty, which includes no wheeling...yet.
I love with JESSI COMBS! I look forward to the day I can work with her, cause I'm THE NEXT BIG THING!

Mr "aboot" needs his partner back.
I would guess she can't wheel with an injury like that. Sucks, no build no wheel.

My wife has never recovered from her broken neck from 12 years ago. She's in constant pain, yes she's permanent and stationary but the pain has never gone away. I hope Jessi has a full recovery.

I don't think she's been on the board in about 2 years.  Not sure when Ian last popped in though.

Sadly you'd be correct, it's in our jeans (j/k) and some just can't keep 'em up(j/k). ...and some people can't stand that a woman would know more than they do on this stuff so the easiest way to get rid of them is to continually bring up their sex and ask to see thier boobs.

hope she gets all healed up, must be pretty painful to break your back.

i always thought it was wierd in my welding and auto classes when other guys wouldnt let the girls do any of the work or keep on bein pervs to them. in my opinion if your willing to help and have a good personality then grab a wrench or whatever tool is needed and help out.
