Battery Voltage Running To High
« on: Dec 05, 2007, 10:24:08 PM »
Hi, my truck has been running about 16-17 volts and when I put the turn signal on the battery voltage jumps around in sync with the blinker. I thought it was the alternator so I put a new one in but it does the same thing have also changed the battery. Any help is appriciated

Sounds like the voltage regulator.

Depending on your year, it's either part of the alternator or a seperate piece.

Where is the voltage regulator located and is there a way to test it?
