Voltage regulator wiring after a fire
« on: Jun 18, 2007, 02:31:38 PM »
I need someone to take a picture of a voltage regulator wiring on both sides of the "round" plug.  My 81 truck caught on fire this weedend and melted a $hi!! load of wires around the voltage reg.   I got a new regulator and alernator.  The plug on the regulator melted and I had to direct wire it.  I think that I may have mis-wired it.  The truck dies when I unhook the battery and the volts on my volt gauge bounces from 12 to 10 volts.  Or if there is someone in the Portland, OR area that I can check out there truck 81 to 82, that would help alot.

Thanks

Carl
