I am having problems with the hidraulic steering assistant???   I can´t remember what You guys call it.

the steering pump always makes this whining sound when I accelerate. and when I check the steering fluit container. The fluit is pink. with litle bubles in it. I have a over size container and I don´t have any leaks. some one told me that there is possibly a faulty  seal in the steering box that drags in air. but I am not sure that that is the problem.

your power steering pump is burt up, replace that, should be not too expensive, your pink fluid is a sign of over heating, and the whine is a sighn of overheating and a bad pump
good luck foreign freind :beerchug:

But on the down site my truck and me got hit by this tiny ford ka (traffic accident) and we haven´t fully recovered after that. I am fine but the truck isn´t.
After the accident these where the broken things in the truck.
broken diff
something terrible wrong with the rear t-case. first the shifting forks went all wrong I fixed that but now I have this grinding clicking sound.....
busted Cross in the drive shaft.
bent frame
bent housing
bent shocks
and lots of other bent stuff.
and probably more.

I have repaired
the housing.
I am not sure what I will do on the diff I will decide tomorrow. order a diff from marlin or local
I had the frame fixed  and the housing realigned
I am waiting for my full floating kit to arrive from Front Range offroad which I am really looking forward to

the truck is drive able but it has 5:29 in the rear and 5.71 in the front. so no wheeling....
updates soon

damn it  has been long since I have posted... I haven´t had any time to do so much as clean my truck since I finished that full floater....

And this is how he punishes me....

went home and picked up my old bended one and cursed me for my stupidity off asking C.J to ship my parts with ups if I hadn´t I would had the nice new fj80 arms and had installed a new and stronger drag link.....

But when I came home finally after replacing the steering rod and cursing the hell out off it    :lipsrsealed: My pregnant wife says I have a surprise for you... It was to heavy for me so it´s in the trunk of my car..... I go out and grab the heavy b*std and put it inside without even looking at it.... and after couble of hours she asks me if I wound open it..... and tadamn.... The shipment from marlin  ;)      and what a pretty sight. So many shiny things....

I spent the day in the garage. I was trying to find out what that squeaky sound was that I have been hearing ever since the truck got rear ended.  :suprised: and damn was I in for a suprice    :help: I am pretty sure I should sue someone. The garage that fixed my frame sure as hell dit a bad Job.  :shakehead: The beam in the frame that´s behind the transmission. (is the most important beam in my suspension)  had a crack in it. so I removed both my fuel sells so I could weld it up but then I noticed the beam was really bent forwards.... ripped from the frame on both sites and bent like a v only forwards.    :shakehead:  so my only solution was to remove it and so I dit.  :flamer: (it´s always so simply in my head.)  A friend of mine fixed made me a new propeller shaft so I could skip the double one that I had (one piece bolted to the frame) and  after working on it from 9 am this morning till just now 00:00 I am almost  :attention:  finished I just have to weld the brackets for the fuel tanks. damn all this work somebody is gonna pay for this.

Tomorrow I hopfully post up some pics I forgot the camera and my body simply hurts.

Well that doesn't bode well for my similarly set up link...better think about beefing up that srossmember a bit more.

My truck got rear endet last winter and I am thinking about blaming this on that.... cause the center of the beam was bent forwards and when I removed it from the frame that crack was ovius..... But on the other hand with that setup the beam takes a lot of tvisting and I was always kinda scared of it.  I just hope that the new one is weldet enaugh and beeffed enaugh I really don´t have that many more options on beeffing it mere

That would explain it beong bent forward...acceleration would tend to bow it out toward the rear.  I am planning on a simple square-tube brace angled to the frame, I already beefed the outer chord of the I-beam the other day to hold the bracket for the link better.

I will counter act the moment on the beam by tying the brace directly into the bracket.  Do my beast to take the entire load linearly straight out to a braced frame mount for the square tube.
