On New Years , I got the motor mounts done.  :woohoo:   I finished removing the torison bar mounts. The grinding on those things sucks. I have to fix an exhaust manifold and then I can drop it in. Of course now it's the weather!!    I will post up some pics later. I am going to try and get a few things done before the weather kicks in.
`87 runner....it was stock....now sas'd, 37's, duals, geared/ locked, 10in bob, half doors, rock lights. etc., etc.,.........coming soon a 3.4 swap!!!

You mean to tell me you aren't ready for a mere 8 inches of rain in one weekend. :screwy: Drop the grinder and start building the arc.

I spent yesterday making sure I was ready to put in the motor. I had a few things to finish up:

  • Got the oil pan installed
  • Fixed the exhaust and installed the crossover pipe
  • Put on the clutch fork and throw out bearing
  • Finished the bellhousing (was short a few bolts)
  • Discovered I was 4 of 6 bolts short to bolt up thre trans ::)
  • A few other things
  • Oh and I cleaned the garage a little so I can quit trippng on crap! :talkingn:

I was going to make the frame tabs for the motor mounts. But I need the motor in place first. I am going to get the bolts and some welding gas today. As soon as the weather will let me, it goes in!! :crossed:

A few pics

The motor mount

Not the nicest thing I have built but it will get the job done. I used the factory mount and extended it.

The motor with the oil pan, motor mounts, and crossover on

I am really anguish to get the motor and trans in!! Then I can start playing with these.....

And this......

I got one Iroc mounted.....

I am going to get DYI beadlocks when money allows. You really need beadlocks to make them work right.    While at least I am starting to make some progress....finally!! I have some bolts and welding gas to pick up......Later!!

 It's in!!!

Well kinda......I didn't realize that because I want a flat belly that I needed to cut the floor out to get it to fit. So it's hanging on the hoist right now. I got it in yesterday.

After work today....I got the interior cleaned out. I took the seats out and the carpet pulled up for a little cutting...

Almost flat but not quite there.

Once I get it pushed up the rest of the way I can do the frame mounts for both ends
Making progress!!! :yesnod:

I only got a front diamond....64inches on the wheel mounting surface. On the stock yota housing, I have a Sky spacer kit with 15x8 wheels with 2in backspacing. I have 37MTR's. With this combo I have a outside to outside tire measuremnet of 76.5 inches. With the diamond and normal wheels (3 3/4 in bs) I will be 77inches without all the stress on wheelbearing and steering stuff

The trucks in the background are.... my 47 Studebaker....

and my 46 Dodge.....I don't have a pic of mine but it looks like this.....

Only not quite soo nice!! :rofl2:

This is in the garage....`50 Plymouth convert....

This is next to the convert......

`69 Plymouth Valiant

Yes, I have way too many projects!! :screwy:   I am going to sell the 46 pickup, the Valiant, and my boat very soon. Need to pay off some bills. Plus, it will give me more time to work on my runner and wheel it!! Now back to build.....

Thats Jed for ya.. a car collector in the finest... You should see his watering truck  That thing is pimp, and he drives it like its a sports car  :hammerhead:

Ya know...........with friends like this, who needs enemies!!!  :fakeflip:  You guys are just jealous!!!!! :rofl2:   I have way too much and some of it is going soon!! :crossed:    I passed a dump truck on the Ortega Highway in my watertruck......he was going too slow!!!  :o

I got the rear crossmember built, painted, and reinstalled. The bolts I got for the motor & trans mounts are a little short, so I will get new ones tomorrow.  Once the motor/trans are holding themselve's up I can remove the front axle and suspension.  I cut off the shock hoops. I kinda laid out the back, behind the seats. I think the rear shock mounts are going to cramp the space back there. ::)   More tomorrow!!

P.S.  The Valiant is for sale!
