1967 Nissan Patrol

I saw this thing driving around town a few times and at first I didnt know what it was. I thought it was an old BJ landcruiser. Then one morning I spied it driving by after my girlfriend and I had just got done having breakfast at a local cafe. I ran over to interogate the owner since I had never seen one before. As I approached I tried to find a badge of sorts to figure out what it was but it didnt have any. I looked at the steering wheel and it had two letters: NP - Nissan Patrol.  :eyebrow:

When the owner came back outside I asked him about it and he let me have a look at the engine and interior. It is a 1967 Nissan Patrol with a straight 6 Nissan gasoline engine and a 5 speed. it has solid axles front and rear and a removeable top. I thought it was awesome. He said he found it sitting in a garage along with a second Patrol in a house he bought a few years back. The owners thought it was junk but it just needed a little TLC.

Anyway I thought some people here might appreciate this rare little piece of history. the patrol is a big name around the world but they were only imported for a few years in the States.

A local up pull it yard used to have one that was actually pretty straight and complete, but I can only assume it got crushed when they closed the yard.

That  pic reminded me of my old patrol but mine had all toyota compnants the only thing that was patrol was the body and frame they are definatly fun
