I heard this little story on the radio this morning thought it was pretty funny, these people got real lucky but the cow didn't fair very well. I wonder if the cow was tipped?

Cow falls off cliff and hits van
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

MANSON, Wash. -- Charles and Linda Everson were driving back to their hotel when their minivan was struck by a falling object - a 600-pound cow. The Eversons were unhurt but the cow, which had fallen off a cliff, had to be euthanized.

The year-old cow fell about 200 feet from the cliff and landed on the hood of the couple's minivan, causing heavy damage.

A Chelan County fire chief, Arnold Baker, said the couple missed being killed by a matter of inches in the accident Sunday on a highway near Manson.

The Eversons, visiting the area from their home in Westland, Mich., to celebrate their first wedding anniversary, were checked at Lake Chelan Community Hospital as a precaution.

Everson, 49, said he didn't see the cow falling and didn't know what happened until afterward.

He said he kept repeating: "I don't believe this. I don't believe this."

I can't picture anywhere I've ever driven that goes so directly under a cliff. Maybe...just maybe, Elsie wanted to end it all and got a good running start.

Ever been to Moab? If you were to jump from some of the cliffs there you could easily land on a car below.

I'll bet the glide ratio of a cow isn't all that hot (think cinder block)...she must've had a running start or she must've jumped on the van as it was coming out of a tunnel. Bovine suicide, the great untold shame of our nation.

RIP KYOTA

You can go through life being scared of the possible, or you can have a little fun and tease the inevitable.

Give a man venison, he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to hunt Blacktail, he'll be frustrated for life!
