Its all good, its given me some time to tear it apart and totally re-engineer the rear suspension the way it should be.
and its pushing me more towards getting my tubing together to do an exo around the new cab.
Really really really leaning towards trying to swap a 3.4l in at the same time i do a cab swap.
Ive wanted to do a 3.4 swap for ages now, and if i bust some ass, i might make it a reality.

not yet, im fabbing up the bolt in crossmember/skidplate, i just cant drill the holes and mount it till i get the t-case in
I :phone: marlin and they said the v6 adapter plates should be in within the next couple days

It sucks waiting on parts... Im just gonna try and get every thing else done that i possibly can, so all i have to do, is slam the t-case in, fab up the last stuff for it, and bolt everything up.

I was gonna use the drain plug that i shaved, but after hunting around in some boxes full of pipes and fittings, i found a larger pipe connection and a cap for it that the barbed fitting went into perfectly.
Plus its a little bit bigger than the drain plug so you can see inside a lil more.
The axles all welded up except for the shock mounts which ill have to mount it up to see where theyre gonna go, and the brake lines.
I think im gonna weld the brake line T smack dab on the top of the housing, and then redo my brake lines with new tubing and reuse the old connections.
If i had thought far enough ahead, i would have done that first, and then ran the lines inside of the gusset so they were protected... but oh well... :smack:

As far as the shackles go, i took some pics of them so you guys can see how theyre gonna work.
I know the shackle angle sucks, this is with the spring hangers 8.5 inches foward, instead of 9.5 like most suggest.
So im gonna cut off the rear hangers and move them foward until the shackle angles perfect.
My axle also sets back about an inch now, but ehhh its okay i guess...

Heres the pics:

Nice, that rear axle looks sick. Only thing I would do is use an ifs bump stop for your rear upper shackle to rest on otherwise it will ride really harsh and bang really loud going over bumps. I used the bump stops off of the front of an ifs truck, they are the perfect size.

I saw that before when i was researching mounting the 63's,
i already have one bump stop, gotta get one more and then im gonna do pretty much the same exact thing.

Do you ever have a problem of yours flipping forward on themselves at full droop?
thanks for the pic though =]

I have never had mine invert. Though if you mount them per the pirate specs you shouldn't have much problem. I hang tires feet in the air and it never inverts. Been running this set up for almost 3 years now.
