10 Years Today
« on: Oct 17, 2007, 06:03:35 PM »
Well, today I hit the 10 year mark with the company I work for! Longest job I've ever stayed at.

What is the longest you have been with a company?

Starting on nine long years. Never thought I would last past 3. That has been the norm till now. Maybe I'm just getting too old to keep starting over.

I didn't initially see what this thread was about. I was looking at Mark's last posts...I thought he was talking about me.
I'm surprised we made it through the first year! And moreso.. through the MCR's! LOL

As far as my job.. I do love it but it's the longest I have been in the same a career. I think I'm at about 7 years in the same a career. My job gets to me but the company I work for is excellent and I really enjoy my co-workers and the work environment, that is very important.

2 years as a delivery driver. great job through high school (made anywhere from $20-260 bucks a day after gas costs). dispatchers were cool, other drivers were cool (only saw them at restaurants), got lots of free food (nicer places where each plate costs 10 bucks or more, LOTS of free food from Shoguns steakhouse), friends could join me for work, loved it until gas prices hit 3.20 a gallon.

I'm in my 6th year now...the only trouble sometimes is that I travel for the company and everytime I get relocated I have to learn another group of equipment, another group of guys and another area, not to mention, another boss... :thud:   It's like starting all over again everytime I get moved... :willynilly:

And congrats to all of you for finding something that makes you happy for what you do!    :clap2: :usa:
