You say that now, but when you operate it all day as it kicks up so much dust that you have to stop and let it settle before going again.
Ive also gotten spoiled by fully enclosed heated and a/c'd cabs  :eyebrow:

spoiled right there...the only "heavy" machinery i get to play with is a forklift with a 12,500lb lift max, and occationaly an Extend a lift. that thing is fun...but all the other toys we have i cant use

no cabs with heat or a/c either

John Doe

I have a bit of a laundry list at my disposal.....
d7 Cat dozer, 22ton crane, 40ton crane, s160 bobcat with 4 attachments, John Deer 230 excavator, 2 SEE trucks (older crappy military back hoes). If I need 1 I can go borrow a 10k fork lift too. I'm licensed on all of those and trained on more.

Doof

what is he teaching you?

all welding is super easy, minus tig on AL, but it just takes practice and the proper technique and its all good in the hood

John Doe

all in all I dont know. all i do know is most are welding here is Aluminum.

peacesells: "Its kinda fun tryin to avoid body damage, just like playing operation with different sound effects"

Doof

ive never tried that, it looks rough...

if your doing AL then its prob tig. im not sure what else you can weld AL with

red

you can weld aluminum with a mig welder but it takes a certain kind of flux wire. tig is most likely what your gonna be learning to weld with

Now I really will be bored in Iraq.......
-Internet at my bedside (I was spoiled) is down
-My computer died of unknown causes, It took me 3 days on the phone with HP tech support (I sware it was out sourced to a middle eastern country, maybe India) to convince them to let me send it in to have them fix it
-The stater on my dozer was toast, the teeth on the gear were all screwed up ( no pic sorry) The Fly wheel will need to be replaced too. What pisses me off is that Dozer was so pose to be "Newly refurbished" obviously they didnt look at the starter.

Christmas wasnt too bad. A few boxes in the mail, plenty of cards.
