hey long time since i been here but figured i would have the best luck here since you guys know what these trucks are worth.well after buying a dodge, and having my dad move on me and leaving my truck behind at my uncles 1500 miles away from where i live, it is time to part with my project. It's a 1984 toyota pickup with 26k orig miles which i believe are true since the frame and dash are near perfect and the motor runs fine minus needing the carb rebuilt from having gas sit in there for close to 20 years.

the good:
perfect frame; new doors;new hood; rust free cab, 2 back windows(one solid one slider); new windsheild; both drivers and pass glass with an extra door glass; new toyota cat back, new toyota down pipe, new toyota cat; motor runs excellent minus the carb needing to be rebuilt, no noises ticks knocks anything, tranny shifts fine and 4wd works fine; new rancho rs5000's; new rancho dual steering stablizer; new toyota tie rod and ends; acording to carfax clean title with a documnted 23k in 03; all the interior parts+ bmw e30 black seats for it;

Extra:
new toyota tie rod, spare door window, newish radiator, tons and tons of parts in good shape from my 85 parts truck, almost every nuts needed fro the truck and then some from the parts, fusebox from the 85, tailgate, and a whole bunch mor e that im prob forgetting

the bad:
i do not have any papers and the bill of sale i have from the guy i bought it off at the english town swap meet is a joke since the vins are not even on it but according to carfax it has 23k miles on it in 03, it didnt say who ever owned it or any of that stuff just 23k in 03 and that a title was applied for it the same time and i got the truck in sept of 04.

The drivers window post from rolling over needs to be pushed in about a 1/4 of an inch for the posts to match up thats why the roof was never finished.

motor will run for a short period of time due to the carb needing a serious rebuild from the truck sitting for close to 20 years. when i first got the truck i cleaned the carb and ran the truck for a long time and it ran fine no noises or knocks but once one of the jets or something got clogged it never wnated to really fire back up on its own and i never took it apart again to fix it.

rear axle has blocks to level it out nothing is wrong with them but blocks suck as most of you guys know.

truck needs to be painted, roof welded one/ post moved in 1/4 of an inch about, needs new tires, brakes, lights, grilles, and some small finising :pokinit:

also i only mounted the quarter on the bed and did not spot weld it and it is being held on by 2 bolts. and all the body parts were thown on the truck to move it when we moved to florida so we could fit it in the truck, thats why all of the gaps are off and :pokinit:

i'm looking for $2200 to break even, but im willing to neg a price, the truck is located in cape coral florida and i i live in rhode island so if any one is seriously interested in the truck i would have to make an arangement with my friend to show it to you, so please dont waste my time or yours.

if your interested in more pics just pm me ill be happy to send them

please no flammimg
thanks matt

pics from last july(truck did not change and i only put the newish/rust free quarter on the bed since then)

Not trying to blow your sale but I would be very careful in buying this, check with the DMV and find out what they will want from all previous owners before they will allow it to be transfered to you. It may end up being a nightmare that may not end. If it can't be registered with the paperwork you have try contacting a licensed lien sale company and see if they can process it for you, but beware of this procedure they will try to contact all interested parties and give them the opportunity to get it back.

i encourage that also check with your local dmv, i know when i bought my atv i lost the papers for it and i had to apply for new ownership on it and it took about a month or so to get.

and yea i have no idea on its past, but all i know is that the truck was rolled then sat around in a building for years until someone bought it then sold it to me at the englishtown swap meet, the carfax on it is like 2 sentences, that is had 23k miels on it in 03 and that in 03 a title was applied for, so really i have no idea i never got around to putting it in my name

Requirements vary from state to state but I know you'd be in for a long road in CA.
