Welcome, I like the older Fords, there is a 79 f250 4x4 in my yard ( along with all the other cars & trucks). It is waiting for a much needed restore job.

I really want to keep it. I have been collecting parts to do the restore. A $40.00 set of high boy springs fell in my lap (ouch) & a new cab is in the carport.

You should find a ford big block 390 motor lots of torque and hp and put some dana 70s or dana 60s in it and u'll be fine! Me and my dad have an 76fordf-250 with broken tie rod to much power na! It has 390 in it just like the one i told u to get. My dad has got the part to fix it yet. You should put an high steer kit on it after the axle so u dont end up like my dads truck also put a big superlift kit on it or do coil suspension set up that would be killer for those heavy suckers! I love my yota though and wouldnt take my dads truck away from him. Good luck. :beerchug:
