Rear leaves
« on: Oct 08, 2007, 03:23:36 PM »
I have an older set of rear all pro leaves and they do not flex very well and feel pretty stiff. How many and what leaves would you recommend removing. Thanks

Does your truck have any weight in the rear?
What size springs (lift/length)?
What is your shackle angle?

Start at the bottom of your pack, work your way up, remember though, leaves removed = more axle wrap.

It has 4in leaves frenched front hanger and a good shackle angle(25-30) degrees. 56in long like the Marlin springs just All Pro because Marlin didn't have springs yet. A Tuffy tool box and a rack 100 pounds at most and a Can Back like 40lbs. There is like 9 leaves though. Will the lower (shorter) leaves help me get more droop though. Thanks

I will try that but how much will that lower the rear. It already has 7in shackles and I won't use a block.

Nice truck in the background there eh...  but yeah we will have to pull a leaf or two this weekend so its not so stiff for the next run.
