Who said you can't get Swampers from America's Tire? I bought a set of 4 TSL radials from there

Another place to check is Costco, especially if your looking for BFG's.

Costco will only sell you factory size tires for your vehicle.

They may  be like Walmart where they will mount and balance on wheels you bring in, but won't actually install them on the auto or provide road hazard warranty.

I get my tires from Pirate4x4 classifieds, MC classifieds, or craigslist. I am a broke ass college student and I cant afford new tires. Just for perspective, I got a deal on my current set of tires off of pirate. Dude was parting a rig out, had 4 35x12.50 Cooper MTs on 15x10 black rockcrawlers. I had to drive about 2 and a half hours each way to get them but I scored them for $300 bucks and they only had 4 trail runs to the rubicon on them, thats it. AND they came on rims. Best deal I have ever gotten on tires but generaly you can get used tires at over half the price of new, even with good tread. Just saw a post on here, some guy in Marysville was selling 4 35s for $175 because he was moving and didnt want to take them with him.

If you watch the classifieds, you will find great deals not only on tires but parts as well. Its how I built my 4runner...

Also gotta factor in fuel costs for those extended 'shopping trips' -- and it's getting more costly all the time!  Sounds like you still got a great deal though...   :twocents:

I almost posted an auction for some new off-brand 35s I found on ebay for $595 shipped.  Seems like a pretty good price to me :dunno:

Definately good possible deals on craigslist, but you gotta be able to weed out the bs too.

Yeah but for $40 bucks in gas it was worth it. One of these days I will buy a brand new set but for now I like searching for good deals
