I know there have been plenty of people interested in the box of shackle parts, and I am sorry guys, I just screwed up by not watching and caring for this thread, and I dont have the time to go through the 50+ posts to see who it was, regardless of an "actual record", I've decided to relist them as "up for grabs" so first come first grab right now.. I have more parts I will be selling soon, and I will try to be more organized -- I am already 4 months behind on this thread to begin with!!

So sorry, if you are interested in something I have "up for grabs" then please reply here and it is yours.

awesome  :beerchug:

quick question, if I bolt this straight on without changing the master, will it give me too much braking leverage (i.e. brake pedal too sensitive)?  I'm fine with a touchy pedal since my civic has some serious stopping power (07's have 4 wheel disc) compared to my truck.  I'm just curious if it will be a significant difference since I'm planning for the larger tires.  Going to a larger master with V6 calipers hasn't been ruled out yet so the booster would be the first step for me :driving:

Is this for your 87 truck? If so then it will provide a slight improvement over your stock booster which has a smaller diaphragm. Without changing the master cylinder, the difference would be that it will require less pressure on the pedal to achieve the same amount of force at the brake pads.

The reason I have the booster in the first place is because I am using an FJ80 master cylinder with my 1st gen 1981 booster. So I put a larger master cylinder on and did not change to a larger booster to compensate. This gave me great stopping power but at the cost of more force required to hit the brakes. I bought the 3rd gen style booster to upgrade, but found that on a 1st gen Hilux, the booster is so large that it hits my steering shaft! This should not be a problem on your 2nd gen.

If, for any reason it does not fit your cab, I am happy if you want to return it for a full refund

If it feels too touchy, then get a larger master cylinder, like a 3rd gen or a FJ80 one. Then you'll have the best of both words!

The funny thing is when I went out to the garage to put them with the rest of my stuff I already had a brand new set of shackles and bushings in a box out there. Thats fine though I have enough to replace the rear shackles now too now.

The parts look good though. Did they come off your rig?

10-4. I had a hell of a time getting the front bushings out of the frame, but the rest came out without much trouble. The shackle holes seemed a bit oval, but I knew they would help someone out
