The area at the hammers is not as sensative as the con

But should still not be neglected
RIP Kyota.... you are the man

GET IT!!!

megolfer

I agree with that totally I was not trying to say that it should be, I just think that everyone is looking at the con so closely that one dumb idiot could give marlin a bad name.  Also the hardcore action is only 2 minutes away.  Can watch people tring to climb backdoor.

ARKANSAS :woohoo:

Sorry Glen. but the Superlift park isn't big enough to support that large of an event and it is a little far for the left coasters.

I vote the Hammers from what CJ has told me or Moab.

I like the Con, but that is a bit over crowded for MCR and there is no easy way to get out for supplies making it a PITA when you get stranded.

BTW Marlin can't possibly help everyone although he is sure to try.

My vote is the Hammers, we could take 3 weeks again and do Moab on the way back.

My vote is Panamint  Valley. Lots of scenic trails. Lots of abandoned mines.  Marlin could reserve the whole Panamint Springs Resort & R.V park across the street.

leave it where its at, no need to mess with a good thing

What the eff do you know about it? You've never even been there :shake:
Marlin himself has admitted it's getting to big for the way it's been going on.

Not having to worry aobut everyone making it in, having everyone camping at a central spot from which we wheel would be a lot easier, more organized and enjoyable.
ANd like Megolfer said, not having it in such an environmentally sensitive or over analyzed area would be much better over all.

Burning Man started out as a small thing on Black Beach (is that the name?) and as it grew it had to move. Nothing stays the same.

Very well put..

High lakes is only good in the winter, as long as RAMROD isnt there because if hes there then it blows.

Not only does the highlakes completely suck, theres no way more then 10 people can even fit on that trail.

Hollister is cool for like 4 hours, not a weekend. Besides Jungle and Tank Trap would be a nightmare with that many rigs! :yikes:

True, but how many Jeeps are on the Jamboree?

Wermz84

Hollister wouldn't be fun for that sorry to say.   Jungle would be an absolute nightmare not to mention Coors.    :o

you can't compare the Jamboree...it's a hand-holders trip.  MCR is more like...get to the springs any way you can, and we'll feed you once.  You are on your own.

If it has to be moved from the Con, then the Hammers is closer for me...but I still probably wouldn't make it.

AaronB

I chose the hammers because the Rubithon is right before MCR. Plus there are a bunch of trails at the hammers and its good for any type of rig mild to wild.

I also taught him how to put in 5min of hard work and then spend 15min staring and admiring what you have done...

EarlKann

I have not been to either the Con or Moab but would like to do both.  I'm voting Moab though, cause it sounds like it can accomodate the ever growing number of registrants better.  Hammers are just over an hour away from me so I expect to be there many times this winter.

Shamb

Hammers is an 8 hr drive as appose to a 2.5 hr drive.. but sounds well worth it. Alot of trails located in one general area and BIG rocks.. which I love..

sounds like GOOOOD times.

R.I.P to my Papa, I miss you pops......
