FJ Cruiser it only looks tough

Looks like the bean counters have been at it again or is this a case of newbie engineers relying to much on computer aided designs.

That's not so uncommon and it is not just the FJ, I've seen several pickup trucks and 4Runner's do that from the 1st gens on up.

I've never seen that on any toyota.  Crazy!  I wonder if it has something to do with the way they're stamped, or if it happens in the same spot maybe it was a bad run on steel for one batch :dunno:

Had a 79 do the same thing.

yep I have seen some older ones do the same but they have had the hell ran out of them. I think this is different though.   do they have a unibody?  I dont think so. I figure the front body mount pulls the front down and makes a week spot.    15000 worth of damage  havent any of them done any welding? lol.
