Cruzila, I talked to you about that on our way out. You said that was supposed to be the line but I insisted to Mark that it was more in the middle of the drop, and that's how he spotted everyone down without incident.
I have it on video where you were standing but I do remember being right next to that ditch on the right.

AJ, good to see you made it out there, and seems like no major probs...I've still got money on you being stranded somewhere before you get back though.  Glad you're having fun...gotta bring back some Cali women to this godforsaken state.

It was so much fun being a ballast off the front of the Mammoth to keep it from tipping!   :woohoo:   An honor even.

Well if you don't consider bunging up the fuel pump and frying his ECU after hours of grueling rock crawling behind us and hours more ahead of us as having major problems then I guess all was well. :ack:
He is just dang lucky the fuel pump was repairable and someone at the springs actually had a spare ECU or it would have been a LOOOOOOONG trip out of there.

You can check out the full story on our thread... http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=10805.msg444909#msg444909

Not to mention he's been having continuous problems with the fuel filter on the beastmaster and he shredded a tire on the trailer and didn't have a spare on the right rim. (but so did we, but we had a proper spare)

I am sure this was a good learning experience for him, he's got lots of project ahead of him. The beastmaster is very cool and unique, I would love to see it fixed up right.

I have lots of werk on both trucks.

The primary tank on the beast seems to be in good clean shape...I am going to do some research into tank cleaning for the big rear tank though, you can see the crap settled on the bottom when you look in the tank.

I also have some plans to clean up and refresh the motor a little.  Pull the heads and have them decked, polished, new valves, etc.  Al intake manifold and swap to a simpler carb than the Holley...maybe a motorcraft or something.  While it is apart I will get the distributor out too so the timing can be set properly.
