Double T case??
« on: Aug 20, 2007, 07:24:15 AM »
So I am a newbie when it comes to the double T case thing. My question is when running a double T case does it make all of the gears, even hi range, twice as low?? How does it work exactly? I just put 5.29's in with 35" tires in a 85 4runner with the 22RE and now my top speed is 65. I already bought the MC07-R10 adapter and want to do the upgrade, however this truck is a DD and I want to be able to drive on the freeway.

Please enlighten me.

Thanks a ton

Everything stays the same, unless you shift it lower.

Normal driving is still 1:1

Possible gear options:
1st-high-high (normal driving)
1st-high-low (normal low)
1st-low-low (double low)

GEEZE, Sounds like I should be able to go faster huh? My motor is tired and uses quite a bit of oil. Definitely needs a rebuild. That will be coming soon!!
