« on: Apr 25, 2004, 06:08:15 AM »
i installed a 93 22re in a 90 4x4 truck  the engine came out of a 2wd . it was running good before i put it in the truck , so while i had it out i put a new timing chain an gears .im not really sure if i had it on tdc when i installed the new chain i just made sure that the crank shaft pully key way an cam shaft was in the 12:00 position an the silver links were on top an bottom ,i just took the old chain an gears off an installed the new one with out moving anything , it sounds fine when idleing an reving it but under a load it falls on its face ?? if i got it tooth out do i have to tear it back down  :crossed:

Check your timing.  Check your fuel filter.  How much exhaust pressure is coming out the tail pipe?  Plugged up catalytic converter??
