Ok, you've all have probably played a similar game with friends, but generally it's, what is your favorite five or something!

What is your one absolute favorite album, or CD for the younger crowd?  Not a compilation made on the computer, but a actual full length album you bought.  The one that you cannot live without!  And why?  This is to help us know everybody a little better!

I'll start~

The soundtrack to the movie, Rush!  (the movie was weak)
It was written and performed by Eric Clapton.  It's a little known album, it had the song Tears in Heaven, but everybody just bought the single of that song!  Eric wrote this album to help him grieve the loss of his son Connor!  You can totally analyze and feel his raw emotion being played through his guitar!  The total essence of the blues at it's finest.  No lyrics on the first 7 songs, just him playing his guitar, with some piano, and drums!  This album, played through a "good" stereo system, will make you feel like he's in the room with you!  Chills down your back as you take in his emotion listening to him play from his soul.

I'm an Eric Clapton fan!  This album makes me relax and seems to soothe me when I need to de-stress!  Kinda takes me away for an hour!

So, post up!  I want to see what is your 1 favorite album, and especially why!  Please don't disappoint me!
Miss ya Dean (4THEWKN) & Kyle (KYOTA)!!

4THEWKN~9/17/2006  If it wasn't for you, I'd be driving something other than a Toyota!

BD is obviously young to go with Van Zandt above Skynyrd.

It came down to either the era or the true soul of the band, I took the soul, sure they had more popular albums but if you want to hear the soul of this band, that would be the album.

Love skynyrd too, but the question was favorite album. There isn't a song on that CD that I don't like  :gap:

The Stones are the most overrated band ever to produce an album, they would have died off into obscurity years ago, but they create their own drama thus thrusting them back into the spotlight. I'm not saying I don't like some of their music but for the most part it is repetitive garbage.

If it has to one album only...the first one that popped in my head was "On your feet or on your knees" (here the amazing) Blue Oyster Cult.

NO! I love old stones! I don't care about depth. I like rock. Hence the reason my #1 album is AC/DC.. do you know anything about AC/DC? As a depth sensitive 'connoisseur' of music.. you should know AC/DC has no depth either.
IT JUST ROCKS!
I really don't like Yes that much. I loved there album covers but I would not go out of my way to listen to Yes.

But I would for AC/DC and the Stones and in fact. There was a video of The Stones and AC/DC playing an old rock tune together... talk about getting HOT! HOLY CANOLLI! I almost slid off my chair!

I'll have to find it on youtube. I am sure it must be out there.

AC/DC is the 2nd best 3 chord band ever...ZZ being the 1st! (grew up in Texas...I'm biased!)
