Bridgestone/Firestone Destination M/T's
« on: Jul 24, 2007, 06:01:17 PM »
What do you guys think about these tires?

http://www.bridgestonetire.com/tireselector/GlamourIndex_BS_EN.aspx?productID=1058

I personally like the tread pattern alot on these tires. Only problem is that I need a 37" tire. I emailed firestone about my opinion and I hope they take it into consideration. I would like to run these tires alot.

Im pretty sure Glen runs these tires.. If so what do you think about them?

I would like to get enough people to email them or something saying they should make them bigger then a 33.

ive been running these  same tires  for  3 years Chris,   about 8 months of that  was  daily driving  100 mile commute  and they still have about 1/4 inch of tread on them,    when new  they dont make much noise  but  after they get say  down to 50%  they start getting that mud tire roar

they are a great tire  but  dang pricey

Not a bad looking tread. I'd run it in a 35 or so.

I tried to send them a note, but it wouldn't work for me. :dunno:

I've been running the Destination M/T's for over a year and a half now.  I absolutely LOVE them.  I'm with ya on wishing that they'd make sizes larger than 33".  Post a link for the email thing and I'll definitely drop them a line.  I'll do whatever it takes to get them to make this tire in larger sizes.

I wanted those too but they don't make them in a 35.

another good tire by bridgestone is the Dueler M/T. the only thing that sucks is that they make up to a 33. but the worst part about it is that these tires are discontinued. I got one of the last sets

My best buddy ran a set of 33" Dueler MTs on his 1986 Turbo 4WD single cab, and they were great for a while, didn't do any wheeling, just pavement miles, but when they got down to about 40% tread he started having all sorts of balancing problems and the treads became very stiff and hard, it rode like crap, became very noisy, and seemed to gain uneven tread wear over night. He always kept his IFS aligned and well maintained. With nothing else left, I blamed it on too much exposure to the sun as this rig is parked out doors.

they were renamed the destination, but the tire itself changed alot. they still make the dueler, but not as a mud terrain. now they make the dueler REVO. its a pretty sick tire but not for rock crawling.
