I won't do anymore than 2", you get too much body-roll beyond that and there is a greater increase in the chance of the body shifting on the frame. 1" hockeypuck or a 2" ready to install is all I've ever done, this lift will make 35's possible with no rubbing.

are you saying with a pro comp stage 2 4" lift i can't fit 35" with a 1" body lift

That's what I have right now and as you can see I can fit 35's right now.

Nah, been there done this. I know that everyone says it's bad, bad, bad to put one on but I've never had an issue with a bodylift. In fact it actually will have less bodyroll than doing a suspension lift since the majority of the sprung weight didn't move.

Here's a little thread I did on installing the bodylift.....

Doing A Bodylift

Even higher, more better lifted pics coming soon. I shaved down my front bumpstops, lifted the front about another inch and then put 1 1/2 inch shackle lift on the rears. Will have no problems stuffing even 36's under my truck but I'm only going with 35's. I hit way to many rocks last weekend at the Jambo.

Simple enough.

Don't you wish you would have thought to tack weld your bottle jack to your floor jack the last time it wouldn't go high enough to lift your rig off the ground? Oh and those jack stands are pretty cool too.

with that body lift, you need to ditch the hitch...or at least revamp it a bit. :twocents:

Rocksurfer

I had it off the truck until I moved and put it back on to tow with it. It will come off shortly. :gap:

When I was at the Tinbenders/Marlin Crawler Jambo I got a few goodies from Big Mike, so what do you think of my cool mud flaps? Co-Pilot saw what he did to his center caps and stuck a couple on them too. I think it's high enough now, maybe I'll stop landing on my rocker panels now.

Rocksurfer

Yeah maybe someday I will, hell I have enough welders sitting at the shop you'd think they'd already be on. Not enough time for my junk these days, my second tcase is still sitting there too.

good thing about that is if it gets slow at work, have a tech work on your truck. :gap:

Rocksurfer

I wish, even if it is slow I'm so busy that if there is time it won't be me welding them on or installing my tcase.

I think I need to check my alignment looks off in that picture.

:woohoo: At last no more strong-arm steering, a buddy of mine had a complete powersteering unit hiding in his garage and let me have it. My wrist is still hurt from getting the steering wheel ripped out of my hand from the last run.

NICE! power steering is the way to go.  My 82 had manual steering when i bought it....i dont even know how long i went before finally getting a power steering pump and IFS box.   i waited so long i even set up my hy steer before power steering and STILL dealt with the "strong-arm steering" LOL. i remember wheeling with it on tight trails and being in a full body sweat from working out so hard trying to manuver my truck down a tight trail. every time you would get off camber it wanted to rip the steering wheel out of your freakin hand!
  :beerchug: to power steering!

I know the feeling, I'm still currently nursing a moderate wrist sprain from trying to keep my truck straight on my last trip.

Well I finally got that power steering installed in my truck last week. I barely got everything on in time for our run last weekend and didn't have time to post the news. Man what a difference, no more sore wrist after the run and I didn't have the steering wheel ripped out of my hands once. I've read in the past where people have trouble getting the system bled but I really didn't run into much of an issue with that. I didn't bleed it but I did prime the pump and box then just fired up the truck and kept turning the steering wheel back and forth from stop to stop until all of the air burped out. The reservoir got a little foamy but that's about it, and every time the fluid went down I just added some in.

i read thats how you are supposed to bleed it, just turn the wheel lock to lock like 3 or 4 times.  ive had my power steering for a while now and im totally ready for hydro lol
