Any plans on cuttin off that ifs crap?

red

:yesnod: ifs will go bye bye soon as i can get my hands on a solid front axle and steering parts. i can get 2 1/2" lift leaf springs for free so they will go on as well. 1st though i need to take care of the rust on the frame. i'll use bedliner to seal it up after the rust is removed so i dont have to worry about it again. after the rust is taken care of i'll probably buy a lock right locker for the rear axle unless i find a really good deal on the sas.

question, how well does a sand blaster work to remove rust and what media would be best to use?

I say a da but it depends on your application.  I have used a sand blaster a few times and personnaly would prefer some other way

red

i've used 2 different sand blasters before. one sucked, the other (different media) worked great.

all you can do is try, if it dont work ohwell, if it works your in luck and hopefully it saves a little time.

red

well gmc sold last night for $1150.00 :woohoo: so now part of that money will go into the 4runner. any ideas on the order i should get parts in? plan overall is for about 5" of lift, 35" tires, lockers front/rear (arb if i can afford for the front), SAS, set of crawler gears for the t-case, t-case doubler, brake upgrade (i need a new master cylinder anyways, pedal doesnt engage until almost halfway down), swing out spare tire carrier, front/rear bumpers, and a winch.

Me too!

What 4runner?

red

haha the brunett is my ex ashley. we were together for 2 1/2 years. that pic was taken back in september, we seperated back in march because she wants time alone, long story.

4runner progress, got the power steering working again, fixed the washer fluid reservoir because it had a small leak in it. now i need to order a new brake master cylinder because the brake pedal doesnt do anything until its about halfway down. and i need to get some paint. i'm going to clean up the entire underside of rust, then i'll take out the interior and repaint it to seal it up from any possible rust problems again. also need to get a new tailpipe because i cant pass smog without it grrrr. need a new seal for the top, the seal on the cab is in good shape but the seals on the top are gone, but that can wait for awhile.
