dirty engine? nah, its nice and shiny! the bad news is the head gasket, good news is everything else looks just fine. gonna grab a head gasket here in a little bit then i'll get it reassembled and fire it back up. my parents told me that we had somebody call about it sunday and she's still interested. looks like i need to get it back together asap (properly of course) and shampoo the interior. having a problem getting the video uploaded, cant get the sound to transfer.

when there is no coolant to measure the temp of, it will not read.  That is not the fault of the gauge.

thats nice to know, means when its dark (like it was) and your loosing coolant you will have no idea that your loosing coolant until its all gone like what happened to me.

got the engine back together (head gasket didnt arrive until 3:30 today) and got the exhaust welded up myself since the manifold was able to be removed without breaking the nuts/bolts that held it to the head (gotta love pb blaster, been soaking those bolts for weeks and they broke free clean and smooth). i'll reinstall the exhaust system tomorrow, make at least 1 more hanger for it, refill the radiator and engine oil, fire it up, and call that lady.

its all back together but i cant get it to fire right now. i can smell the fuel, everything is hooked back up, and i'm getting spark but not fireing. no coolant coming out of the exhaust anymore so thats a great sign, and no water in the oil either (so no apparant crack in the block or head). any ideas? timing maybe?

well bad news. checked compression and max is 30psi so i double checked the timing and its all lined up. means its either piston rings or block and i'm not going to put that kinda money into it so i'm gonna try selling it as is.
