you could physically mount a 22r head on a efi engine, but then you would be reverse engineering it if that makes sense... the 85+ 22r and 22re use the same block

im so excited.  it takes me about 2 hours to get to sleep at night because i just keep going over in my head what i can sell for how much and what i can use and what i can buy or ad.  i am extremely stoked on getting such a good deal.  the EFI is going in my truck.  i wish i could use this new head im buying in it.  but its for a stupid 22r.

According to what i remember of a conversation with Ted (engnbldr) in 85 they changed the head (a little)...if it has pear-shaped exhaust ports, it's an EFI head. An EFI head is drilled for both an EFI intake manifold AND a carbed manifold...but the Carbed head, with round exhaust ports, is not drilled for the EFI manifold, cause it didn't exist then.

Stock EFI and carb cams are identical.

ok so her mom took the truck to "their mechanic" (the guy is a complete and has completly ripped them off many times but they continue to go back because they dont know they get ripped off) and he quoted them 1500 dollars to ONLY replace the front suspension.  no body work or anything else. just replace the suspension.  so he takes it all apart and replaces the parts and then it doesnt drive, at all. the frame is really bent and everything is completly out of whack. i cant believe this mechanic ripped them off that obviously.  looking at the front tire, it is still incredible crooked, i dont know how this dumbass thought it was fixable and actually even tried to fix it.  he also threw all the dirty greasy parts on her back seat and on some clothes.  he just put the parts on her stuff in the back seat.  he charged them 500 dollars they payed him on the spot.  so now they want more money for it, even though its still totaled.  were gonna make a deal between 400-450.  theres a lot of good parts though so its worth it.  dual cases, nice ifs calipers and rotors, rear axle, usable drivelines, and who knows what else.
ill buy it as soon as i can pay off my bill for my weber 38 and new head.

ya so i paid 450 for it and its in my driveway and going in the garage soon to be taken apart.  i cant wait to get dual cases and do my front suspension soon.
weber carburetors are awesome.

People like that are total tools!  They spent $500 after she agreed to sell it for $350 then sold it to you for $400?  So they LOST $100 on the deal   Funny, if her brainless mom hadn't got involved she woulda MADE $350.  Some people are truly  stupid. 

Either way I think you still got a good deal on it.  I wish I could find people this stupid to buy my ifs front end!
