Well I'm back at the Toyota again. I've spent the last couple weeks tying up loose ends, it's crazy how much the little things stack up.

I've decided to go a little different route with the back end of the truck - I wasn't happy with the box I made so I ditched it. I'm trying to give it a baja truck style now. FJ- Rankenstein hooked me up with the sweet marlin bumper. It's a little long, I might shorten it up...might not. I had some trouble getting my driveshaft together. I need to buy a ball repair kit but that's the last piece to the puzzle. After I bolt that sucker on I can take the truck for a test drive.






(not gonna use this battery...even though is got POWER supposedly)

A few more updates....

I took out the 2" body lift last weekend, initially I lifted the body to clear coolant lines but by using a little more brain power I figured out how to make it work. The exhaust/floor and intercooler pipes also had to be changed but it was pretty easy. Also got the sliders on...

Heres the exhaust, I went with a Flowmaster super 44 rather then the $40 buck Cherry bomb and wow what a difference, this thing sounds like Japenese muscle now! I welded in a 4" pipe in the cross-member for the exhaust to run through.

Yep its about this time of year I redo the cooling system, not a big change other then running some silicone hose mixed with a couple hardlines. Im really happy with it , I also put good barbed ends on all the hardline so I never have to worry about leaky hoses.

Im wiping the dust off this thread...
Here are some pics of the truck outside. Im really happy with how it sits after frenching the spring hangers front and rear. I don't have much left but it seems to be the small stuff that takes the longest. Here is what I need to finish...
- tail light & elocker wiring
- find or make inner door panels
- paint match a mint dash pad scrounged from a wrecker
- paint the hood
- replace winsheild
- install seatbelts
Im sure a few more things will pop up but its o so close! I'll post some pictures soon of what I did with the tube work behind the cab.

After I sprayed it with Duplicolor Vinyl & Fabric paint. Its a tad lighter then I want so I may just spray it black.

Today I got the Supra tach working in the stock cluster. Thanx FJ-Rankenstein for the writeup on toontoysforums.ca! (<-shameless plug) Way better then aftermarket. Here is some pics

Threaded long M4 studs into the supra module and added 3 nuts to space the cluster properly. The image is blurry but you get the gist.

Reamed out the factory holes for the 6cly module.

Next i'll be finishing up the dash switch panel and mounting the cd player in the dash.

I finally got around to taking some poser pics of the truck now that its on the road. I still have some bugs to work out before I take the truck wheeling but everything is working good mechanically. The cooling system keeps it cool even on 30+ degree days. The motor pulls good at 6psi of boost. I just need to make a cover for the air filter that pokes through the inner fender and then notch the passenger floor because the front drive shaft rubs.
